Jim PathFinder Ewing is an award-winning journalist and internationally known author who lives in Mississippi. He is an award-winning journalist, author, and organic farmer.
He is the Outreach Coordinator for the Gulf States Region with the National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT), a nonprofit offering assistance for sustainable living, and its ATTRA National Sustainable Agriculture Information Service.
He is a member of the Administrative Council (Governing Board) of the Southern Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SSARE) USDA program.
Jim has been called "a pioneer in sustainability" and "a tireless champion for farmers and food" by Gaining Ground - Sustainability Institute of Mississippi.

He is a 2013 winner of GGSIM's Sustainable Works Award for his leadership in promoting organics, environmental stewardship and sustainable living for the past 30 years.
His background as a writer and editor at The Clarion-Ledger, the state’s largest newspaper, has earned him a reputation as a well-respected journalist.
When not teaching farmers and would-be farmers how to grow sustainably using organic growing methods, Jim is a workshop leader, inspirational speaker and author in the fields of mind-body medicine and eco-spirituality. He is the author of six books (Findhorn Press) on mindfulness and alternative health, published in English, French, German, Russian and Japanese.
An invited presenter at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, Jim will again be teaching a class as guest faculty in October, 2014.
