What is Reiki Shamanism?

Reiki Shamanism is the blending of two time-tested highly effective modalities of energy medicine. We believe all energy medicine modalities, such as acupuncture, reflexology, and Reiki compliment standard allopathic physical and psychological treatment; and are not a substitute. They help the whole person to heal, from the inside out.

Reiki is the Eastern form of hands-on healing, discovered (or re-discovered) in Japan in the early 1900s, though its roots are far older; Shamanism is the art of connecting with Spirit, Creator, and Power Animals, or Guides, Angels, and Spirit Helpers, to assist healing, health and wholeness here on Earth.

When Shamanism and Reiki are combined, all facets of people, places and things can find healing, health and wholeness through the synergistic blending of the two modalities. There really is no separation between them, as Reiki itself is a form of shamanism.

Rather than limiting ourselves to the “hands on,” treatment, we know that Reiki comes from the heart, head and hands via the energy body, and can be applied near and far, and even out of body, anywhere in the world.

In Reiki Shamanism, we employ the energy body through the shamanic journey applying Reiki long distance; as a form of shamanism, we will see that our journeys are inner and outer, exploring the universe that extends outside of ourselves as well as worlds within. So that, as always, the healer heals himself as he helps others to heal.

Both modalities are easy to learn, and require no special talents, just a willingness to learn and practice.

Reiki Shamanism is not a religion, it is compatible with all faiths and wisdom traditions. People have asked us if Reiki is OK for Christians to practice, we say yes! And check out the wonderful site: http://www.christianreiki.org

Reiki has gained much mainstream acceptance in recent years; it is non-invasive, no harm can be done with it, it requires no tools or special circumstances, and it works. We have trained many nurses and counselors, as well as others not in health and wellness fields.
