Dancing Your Power Animal
is a one day workshop taught by Annette Waya Ewing, taught in our spacious tipi/prayer lodge--weather permitting. It is a powerful way to (re)connect to your power animal(s) as well as your natural self. Many shamans, such as Sandra Ingerman, who wrote the major text on Soul Retreival, dance their power animal as preparation for doing energy work or ceremony. It is a wonderful way to (re) connect with your spirit helpers, and engage them in your daily life.

The 'world of nature' is always communicating with us; most of the time, we are not listening. Even the fact that we make the semantic separation between 'man' and 'nature' shows that we are cut-off from our natural selves. Reconnecting to your power animal(s) is a step, one method, of healing this internal divide.

It is for both beginners and advanced shamanic practicioners. Group size is limited to no more than 7, as the instruction is individualized, though there is much group sharing and activity.

Power animals will be 'met' and worked with. 'Don't know your power animal? No problem, I will help you connect with them. Don't know how to journey? No problem. Each person is different, and experiences things differently, so I will adjust the workshop to the needs of the participants. Basic energy work preparation and terms will be reviewed.

A little about my teaching philosophy:

I use effective and creative teaching methods gleaned from 25 years as a professor in the creative arts field. It is not taught from any particular tradition, but from the teaching I have received from Elders of several traditions (Yokuts, Cherokee) plus my husbands wise tutelage, wide-ranging writings on the subject, and my own personal experience. So this is not training in a tradition. What I hope to accomplish is to open a few doors for you, then you can choose which ones to walk through, and blaze your own trail! I believe that truth is a pathless land; one cannot follow anyone else and find truth, teachers can only point the way.
