Reiki Shamanism

This is the shamanic component course for Reiki Shamanism, as explained in “Reiki Shamanism: A Guide to Out-of-Body Healing” by Jim PathFinder Ewing (Findhorn Press, 2008). A two-day course, students review viewing the world from a shaman’s perspective, including the energy body, techniques of journeying, overview of sacred geometry, types of shamanic practice, including clearing buildings and lands, soul retrieval, healing with the drum. Ethics of healing practice is discussed.

Students will practice journeying and employing Reiki symbols.

Students will also receive a Reiki Practitioner Attunement of the 4 Reiki Shaman symbols in the book.

Prerequisites:
Students must have some proficiency in journeying, having either taken the Reiki Shaman I course, or Foundation for Shamanic Studies “Way of the Shaman” Basic Workshop or equivalent program, or ability.

Students must have Reiki I and II instruction and attunement beforehand and knowledge of the healing symbols and basic ability to use them; though no special proficiency is required.

Required reading:
“Healing Plants & Animals from a Distance: Curative Principles and Applications” by Jim PathFinder Ewing (Findhorn Press, 2008), which includes describes the shamanic journey, as well as gives examples of shamanic journeys.

“Reiki Shamanism: A Guide to Out-of-Body Healing” by Jim PathFinder Ewing (Findhorn Press, 2008), which incorporates the shamanic journey and Reiki as a healing practice and explains how Reiki is a form of shamanism.

Recommended reading:
“Clearing: A Guide to Liberating Energies Trapped in Buildings and Lands” (Findhorn Press, 2006) by Jim PathFinder Ewing, and “Finding Sanctuary in Nature: Simple Ceremonies in the Native American Tradition for Healing Yourself and Others” (Findhorn Press, 2007).

Students are advised to bring a pillow to sit on, a mat or blanket to lie on while journeying, and a pen and notebook to record notes and observations.

No certificate is issued for this course.

Class size is limited to allow individualized instruction.

Note: We are not affiliated in any way with the Foundation For Shamanic Studies, but highly recommend its courses.
