This CD includes approximately 30 minutes of drumming by Jim PathFinder Ewing (Nvnehi Awatisgi) for facilitating the shamanic journey, with a short "call back" drumming segment and a few moments of a crystal bowl 'singing' subtly to aid in grounding and centering.
Presumably, those who purchase this CD will have read a book by PathFinder, taken one of our workshops, or had other instruction in basic journeying.
Directions: Find a place where you can lie down uninterupted for 30 minutes. Set your intent as to where you wish to journey and what you wish to accomplish. Turn on CD. Wait for your Power Animal to appear (as PathFinder says: "Don't leave home without it!"). Relax. Enjoy. When the "call back" drumming sounds, stretch, wiggle your toes and come all the way back. Allow plenty of time to become centered and grounded before resuming normal activities.
For those who are listening to the CD without journeying, for relaxation or meditation, you may hear singing, chanting or other voices coming through - guides, angels, goddesses, ancestor spirits adding their songs. It is good. Osida!
The drumming was recorded in Lena, Miss., in sacred space. It was produced by Peter Bloom and Annette Waya Ewing, sound mixing/recording by Peter Bloom, art/graphics by Annette Waya Ewing.

Hand Painted Remo Buffalo hand drum, 16"
All Remo Buffalo drums are manufactured with Remo’s Fiberskyn® 3 drumheads and patented ACOUSTICON™ drum shells. These drum shells produce the same tonal characteristic found on traditional wood shell drums with excellent projection and enhanced low-pitched fundamentals. You can play Remo’s Buffalo drum in virtually any weather condition and they will keep their pitch sounding great.
These drums are perfect for shamanic journeying--it is what we use most often, even though we have many natural hide drums as well. Remo Buffalo drums 'sing' beautifully--between beats, even if you are drumming very softly.
I create custom-painted Remo drums like the examples below, on occasion. They start at $200.
